Shadow Teacher Services

(Applicable only for Special Education Needs Assistance – SENA)

A Shadow Teacher is a trained support staff member who assists students with Special Education Needs (SENA) during school hours. This support is offered through a contract-based arrangement, tailored to the specific needs of each student.

Types of Shadow Teachers
Personal Shadow Teacher

Provides one-on-one support throughout the school day, offering personalized assistance to meet the student's unique learning and behavioral needs.

Shared Shadow Teacher

Supports a small group of 3 to 4 SENA students, typically those with mild support needs. The shared shadow teacher may also assist other students in the classroom as needed.

Assessment Requirement

Before enrolling at Bright Jigsaw School, all students requiring Special Education Needs Assistance (SENA) must undergo an assessment. This assessment helps determine whether the school is able to accommodate the student's individual needs.

Important Notes
  • Admission is subject to availability.
  • In some cases, if the school is unable to manage the student's needs after enrollment, the student may need to transfer to a more suitable school within the first few weeks.
  • Once accepted, from KG1 to Year 1, only the registration and school fees apply.
  • Starting from Year 2 to Year 6, an additional Shadow Teacher Fee will apply.
Shadow Teacher Options (Year 2-6)
Option 1a – Personal Shadow Teacher (Provided by Bright Jigsaw School)
  • A shadow teacher will be assigned by the school to work one-on-one with the student.
  • Parents must sign an agreement and will be responsible for paying the shadow teacher directly to school.
  • Compensation terms can be arranged directly between parents and the shadow teacher.
  • Further details regarding this shared support will be provided during the enrollment process.
Option 1b – Personal Shadow Teacher (Provided by Parents)
  • Parents may choose to hire their own shadow teacher, subject to school approval.
  • An agreement must be signed, and parents are fully responsible for managing the arrangement.
  • Any changes to the shadow teacher must be done at least 2 months in advance.
  • Bright Jigsaw School will not be held responsible for any disruptions or issues resulting from changes or loss of the assigned teacher.
  • Parents must sign an agreement and will be responsible for paying the shadow teacher directly. Bright Jigsaw School may assist with the payment giving.
  • Compensation terms can be arranged directly between parents and the shadow teacher.
  • Further details regarding this shared support will be provided during the enrollment process.
Option 2 – Shared Shadow Teacher (Assigned by the School)
  • A shadow teacher will be assigned to support a small group of students with similar learning needs.
  • This is best suited for students who require mild support.

School Fee Policy

  • School fees shall be paid on the 1st week of every calendar month
  • Any outstanding fees after 1st week of each month, administration office shall issue a school fee reminder
  • All school fee should be settle before end October of every school year
  • Failure to pay fees as schedule may result in the withholding of the student's report book
  • School Fee payment can either be made at the admin office or through online transfer
